What to expect during a maintenance window

During a maintenance window you will be able to work on your pc, however, you can expect that some or all of AU's services may experience periods of downtime or degraded performance.

Examples of services include:

  • Mail
  • VPN
  • Files on network shares
  • Blackboard
  • mit.au.dk
  • AUHRA
  • AURUS
  • PURE
  • STADS
  • TYPO3
  • Systems accessed through WAYF

  • Furthermore, internet access may be affected.

    If you are planning to work and access files on network shares during the maintenance window please contact your local it support.

    Courses during a maintenance window

    It is possible to teach courses, unless it is specifically mentioned that there will be no power to pc's and projektors in all rooms. You can expect that some or all of AU's services may experience periods of downtime or degraded performance, please see service examples above.

    It is possible for AU IT to provide internet access through the mobile phone 4G network for a limited number of devices in a class. If you need this setup for a class during a maintenance window, pleae contact your local it support in ample time.

    Lecturer

    We recommend that you urge your students to download the lecture files they need for classes during a maintenance window.

    In extraordinary situations, specifically in connection to power cable work during a maintenance window, there will be limited physical access to buildings on campus. Please contact your local it support if you have any questions in this regard.

    Students

    There will be limited or no internet access during the maintenance window.
